Roar on the Shore

 Hey Gang,

Besides Sherry winning but not winning, it was a fun and productive day.

I made new friends, 15-year-old Jason and Ken.

I thought Roar on the Shore might be boring, so I brought my metal detector. Jason saw it in the van, and we talked about metal detecting at the park where we were and all the items he had found. He also gave me tips on where to look.

If they keep the same format, Roar on the Shore has turned into a must-attend event. I bet there had to be around 400 cars and the setting was perfect by Lake Erie.

Later, I met Ken at Annabelle's, who showed me his Ford Model A. It was enjoyable listening to him talk about his various jobs at gas stations and stories of working on cars and customers.

And to top it all off, I sold four books.

So it was a fun, productive day.

So Sherry won an award, but I didn't win.

So Sherry won an award, but I didn't win.

Huh?
I was at Roar on the Shore car show.
15 minutes before they were calling out the winners, a volunteer stopped by my van and yelled who's van is this.
I said mine.
He replied, Where's your registration.
Um, I didn't register.
Oh well, you won best non-car, It's too bad you didn't register; maybe next year.
So I won but didn't.
And then it got worse when word was going around about a man winning but didn't register so he didn't win.
And that sums up my day.
