well friends i am out of here... but lets quickly take a look at gogobus.cc

Hey Gang,
I am out of here for a week heading to Arizona with Ruth and the Kelly's. We will be staying in the Scottsdale area. The trip is a Christmas gift. So hold the fort I mean emails until after Easter; make that all emails. I will have my cell so call if there is an emergency. Doubt I can get to you but call anyway.

Now for those who know disregard but for those that don't, you now will know.

After a long absence gogobus.cc is back up and running... for the most part.

It is hard to believe how long I've had this site. I started the concept way back in 2001 way before Myspace or Facebook. The site has led to so many opportunities and meeting new friends. And yes I am still enjoying it along with many others.

Sometimes I forget how long 15 years is. Friends have come and gone, others are no longer with us, the Hey Gang emails are fewer and far between but some of the core group are still in touch with me. And my outlook on life and zest for new experiences hasn't changed much even through the ups and way downs of life. I am still having fun.

Likewise concerning the GoGo Bus there are still people enjoying it when I travel or pull up to a cruise in/car show. Not bad for a vehicle close to 50 years old and one that I've owned since 1997. WOW that is a long time. So it also marches on or in many cases sputters on.

Anyway the new gogobus.cc is a Wordpress site. I am not too keen on a frame or a template site but this is far easier to add and arrange photos and links myself, finally there is a way Virginia. I had many webmasters in the past and not one understood what I was after besides Jeff Bedoll, I finally remembered there are two L's in his name. Jeff is a real web designer/artist who was able to capture exactly my likes and feel for the website. The problem with the old was with the updates, little time. And it does take time especially when you consider it is more of a hobby with little to no cash flow but that may be slowly changing.

Sooo the new gogobus.cc is up but we are still fine tuning it. I just about grabbed most of the old content and slid it over. Some features from the old are gone and others are on the way out. My main focus on the new gogobus.cc will be A. Promote my book and the upcoming new Hey Gang Part 2, don't go sending me checks just yet, its still in the works. B. Promoting independent Restaurants and Diners C. My blog writings D. Current videos I take while out n about. E. And near the bottom I have space to rent to promote your band, store, book etc....

Finally the look on the new site has changed also. Before I was after fun, uniqueness and hokey, lots of hokey. The new when we are finally all done will be less hokey but still fun and unique.

So that's all. I am off. I will be posting on my blog when time allows updates from the trip.

Gotta GoGo!
Carey

PS: Even though the book Hey Gang! has been out over a year now I am still promoting it. I lost plenty of opportunities for book signings and car shows last year because of many issues, what a year, so if you know of a little book store or shop or events where I can set up and do signings let me know.

PSS The latest editions to the site are I added comments to the book page and added some new videos.

OH take a look www.gogobus.cc

Two Quick Ones - The Browns and Sugarcreek

Hey Gang,
Two quick ones for you.
Look for the Browns to win big on Monday night. Josh McCown will want to extract revenge and prove he is a worthy starting quarterback. He knows that his career is winding down so he will put up big numbers.

Besides that reason yours truly will be attending his first Browns game at First Energy Stadium this coming Monday night, just writing first makes me laugh when talking about the Browns.  So how could the Browns lose with me in attendance.

The seat I have is top notch and I didn't even have to pull teeth for it. The person I will be attending the game with did. His father was the team dentist for the old Cleveland Barons and the Browns and my client/friend still has some ties with the Browns.

I love these little connections in my life that just make me go hummina hummina and smile wide. Just last week I came upon something that I shouldn't even be writing or talking about. But it does have a connection with the Browns. So when the ticket was offered on the heals of this find I said most certainly I will go. And that's all on this topic. I will report back in after the record setting performance of Josh.

Now..... onto Holmes County.
Thank you Ruth, Donovan, Jamie, Janet, Malinda, Paul and Stephanie for the fun group outing. I always love group adventures. The laughs, camaraderie, being able to share in what you are experiencing is just great.

We traveled 77 S to 39 W into Sugarcreek our first stop. I took a wrong road but luckily it dead ended into a large sign that said Welcome to Sugarcreek. I just played it off as if I planned on going down this road just for a group photo. It worked but since they read this they will know it was a whoops moment.Oh well.

Progress is invading Amishland but it is still scenic with lots of small unique shops to visit. Sugarcreek now has the worlds largest cuckoo clock. It once was at Alpine Alpha restaurant in Wilmot that closed. Besides the largest cuckoo clock Sugarcreek has some really fun stores.

I was excited because two of those stores purchased my book and are now carrying it. Big Mike's Finders Keepers and Freeman and Rhoda's store the Gospel Shop.

You just have to visit Finders Keepers. The sign in the window says weirdtiques and what not shop, how true. What I really really enjoyed about Finders Keepers is the owners personality. A lot of collectible stores have people working who are kind of stodgy watching over you. Not Big Mike, he was so pleasant talking to customers reminiscing having fun. What else impressed me was the condition of his antiques and collectibles. Most were in such good condition they seemed new. Impressive.

The other place my book Hey Gang! Ready to Go-Go? is being carried is the Gospel Shop. This description is taken from their website: There are many things to find at The Gospel Shop. It is not a place that only sells books, but all kinds of inspirational products. There is a room located at the front of the shop that houses Christmas decor and festive items to help customers celebrate the holiday season. Throughout the rest of the store, a variety of faith-based and inspirational merchandise can be found. Clothing, purses, cards, Bibles, music, as well as a section dedicated to children are all part of the welcoming atmosphere at the shop. And if you can’t find what you are looking for on the shelves, they will gladly look into getting it for you..

So if ever in Sugarcreek go visit Big Mike at Finders Keepers and Rhoda at the Gospel Shop, tell them I sent you

The Friday Show - Dave Lynch & Chris Lambert with Carey Masci as guest

Here it is what everyone requested, the radio show I was on. OK so it was maybe only one that asked... but serious though that one person wasn't my mom.

Hey Gang, The Friday Show with Dave Lynch & co-host Chris Lambert that I was the guest promoting my book “Hey Gang! Ready to Go-Go?” is now archived on WELW which has been changed recently to WLYN 1330 AM.

I am a harsh critic of myself and don't feel I did that good. In the beginning I was too amp-ed up, um not mic wise but emotion wise. I was a wee bit anxious and a little surprised with the arrangement. I had no clue I would be on stage in the mall broadcasting live. I've been on the radio before talking politics but this was different. This was about my book and I was the focus.

Timing also was a bit off a few times because we only briefly rehearsed before going on air about hand signs and what to expect. On one question I cut my answer short when Brian, the person manning the controls, gave a five finger sign. I thought he meant 5 seconds so I hurriedly gave my answer and quit talking. I found out later that meant five minutes not seconds.

Oh well. I want to thank Dave Lynch and Chris Lambert again for this opportunity. I know Dave Lynch as a politician and lawyer. On the radio I got to see another side of him and he is genuinely very witty, a fun guy. Chris Lambert is equally as witty and a class act. I was sitting next to two pro's that have great chemistry and on the radio it really comes out. In all I had a hoot of a time, I hope to be able to join them again.
